AEBR is a faith-based organization created in 1964 from DRC. Recognized by the Government of Rwanda, it serves over 58,000 active members nationwide.

Inauguration of Bishop Elisaphane Ndayambaje – A Joyful Milestone for AEBR

We are thrilled to share the highlights from the recent inauguration of our new Bishop, Elisaphane Ndayambaje. This landmark event marks a new chapter for AEBR, as Bishop Ndayambaje steps into leadership with vision, dedication, and commitment to our mission.

AEBR Leadership Structure

General Assembly

The General Assembly is the supreme organ of AEBR. It devises policies, plans, advises, and makes key decisions. It ensures that all churches under AEBR follow the Constitution and engage in evangelism and socio-economic development initiatives.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee oversees daily operations, strategic planning, financial management, and decision-making across all AEBR activities. It ensures smooth coordination among departments and supports effective implementation of programs.

Legal Representative

The Legal Representative ensures that AEBR operates within the law, manages contracts, represents the association in legal matters, and oversees compliance with national regulations and organizational policies.

AEBR Departments

Association des Églises Baptistes au Rwanda (AEBR) carries out it’s mission through well-organized departments that work together to support churches, strengthen faith, and empower communities across Rwanda. Each department focuses on key areas such as spiritual growth, family and youth development, community wellbeing, education, health, and responsible resource management.

Evangelism & Literature Department

Focuses on spreading the Gospel, training church leaders, and producing Christian literature that strengthens faith and discipleship.
Annual Gathering 2025 Held at AEBR Kacyiru Headquarters, the gathering brought leaders together to strengthen evangelism efforts.

Education, Health, and Youth Department

Oversees AEBR schools, health centers, and youth programs. It supports quality education, improved health services, and active youth engagement in church and community development.
All directors visited EAV Kivumu School in Nyange Sector to learn and share best practices.

The Financial Department of AEBR manages budgeting, reporting, and resource mobilization to ensure effective financial stewardship.

Partners

In carrying out its important mission, AEBR collaborates with partners from USA, Canada, Europe, and Africa. The churches under AEBR uphold the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, and believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Human beings were created in the image of God, but after disobeying divine law, they became sinners in the eyes of God. Salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. Since its inception, AEBR has been active in evangelization to fulfill the great commission given by the Lord Jesus Christ to His church.
